Deventer canoe polo team

The first canoe polo team from the Deventer Canoe Club is one of the most successful teams in Europe in the last decade. Since 1999 Deventer was Dutch champion for 12 times and gold medalist at the European Championships for Clubs in 8 editions. With their attractive style of playing canoe polo, Deventer has always been an exciting team to meet in tournaments. Rumor has it the secret to this success was an awful lot of training, close friendship and maybe even an occasional beer. Training in a close to professional manner, together with the strong bonding between the individual members, were the winning ingredients to one of the best teams ever.
